Youth Umpires Field Rating

Posted Tuesday, March 24, 2009 by Audrey Montanaro

Hi All,

If you have successfully completed the classroom portion of the youth umpire course, you must now be field rated before you can umpire youth games. There are two field rating opportunities in the area. East Lyme will be hosting a field rating on Sunday March 29th from 1:00-5:00pm and Waterford will be hosting one on Sunday April 5th from 1:00-5:00pm. You must register online at  www.ctlacrosse.org . Go to the "Register Online" tab on the right side of the page and scroll

You must have a US Lacrosse number in order to be field rated. Either bring your new US Lacrosse card or go to www.lacrosse.org   You should also have an striped umpire shirt, whistle, and set of cards (red,

Thank you.

down until you see the playdays. We are asking that the umpires from East Lyme, Fitch/Stonington, and Colchester register for the East Lyme playday and the umpires from Waterford, Ledyard and Old Lyme register for the Waterford playday. If you have to register for a different playday that is fine, but we are trying to match our umpires with their towns that are playing on those days. After you have registered, you should email me with a timeframe that you would like to umpire (1:00-3:00pm, 2:00-4:00pm, or 3:00-5:00pm). You will be scheduled on a first come, first serve basis. Once you are at the field, we will do our best to rate you as quickly as possible. Depending on the number of umpires who are at the field at one time, it could take at least an hour to be rated. yellow, green) when you umpire.  This list of emails may not be complete, so please let other umpires in your town/school know about the field playdays and how to register.
